Finances and Logistics Fact Sheet
Finances
I. Workshops, Leadership Training, Retreats,
Conferences: Suggested minimum honorarium, in addition to travel
and food expense, lodging and cost of materials, is $500 per day
of involvement ($1500 for a full weekend or three-day event). If
revenues exceed the need, Frontline's policy is that a church or
organization cover overhead, promotional expenses, my expenses and
minimum honorarium, and pass on at least 50% of any remaining balance.
If meetings are well-attended, we both benefit from the blessing.
Finances are typically covered in one of three ways:
A. The church or organization covers the cost
out of budget.
B. Participants pay a registration fee for
the workshop or conference
(suggest $25/person,
$40/couple).
C. Free Will Offering. This can also supplement
a budgetary shortfall.
Note: I prefer not using a formal registration
fee, trusting the Lord to provide through offerings, or a combination
of budget plus offerings. Fees can discourage attendance.
II. Sunday AM or PM Services, Chapels,
etc.: Honorarium for a single event ranges from $200 to $500,
depending on time involvement and individual circumstances.
III. Counseling: I am minimally available
during seminars to respond to counseling needs. I prefer to screen
requests and schedule appointments as appropriate. No formal charges
will be asked for counseling, but a donation of $50 to $75 is suggested.
Receiving help from the Lord's grace and gifts will not be denied
those unable to contribute.
IV. Prayer Summits: For three- or four-day
prayer summits, suggested honorarium is $1,000 minimum, up to $1,200.
V. Travel Expenses: Air Fare at actual
cost, auto expense reimbursed at $0.30/mile, and airport parking
fees ($8/day).
VI. Lodging: Proper rest is imperative
for me to be at my best, and maximally productive. In most cases,
a motel accomodation assures this. A quiet, protected home environment
is fine, if available, and if cost is a consideration. Lodging with
a person or family in need of personal counseling is not advised.
VII. Payment: Checks should be written
to "Frontline Ministries". If possible, payment of expenses
and honorarium at the close of a meeting is appreciated, or soon
after.
Logistics
I. To best maximize time, energy, and resources
invested in a meeting, I believe strongly that those responsible
for this effort make a commitment to good planning, quality communication
and mobilization of intercession prior to and during the meetings.
II. Frontline will provide suggestions
for and samples of promotional brochures, and a photo, as requested.
III. It is helpful and appreciated
if the host church or organization can provide the following:
A. A worship leader, sensitive to the movement
of the Spirit, and gifted in leading praise and worship, both instrumentally
and a capella. This is vital and integral to the seminars.
B. Workers available to process registrations
and oversee tape and book sales.
C. A table set up for display of books, videos,
and ministry materials.
D. Light refreshments for breaks.
E. Overhead projector set up and ready for
use.
F. Wireless microphone (if available).
G. Room for prayer and personal counseling
before and after teaching sessions.
H. Trained, seasoned prayer counselors available
and on-call for ministry times.
I. Promotion of the meeting to other churches
through brochures, bulletin inserts, newspaper ads, and radio spots.
